Brisbane Studio - Photos of the Week

I first photographed this lovey-dovey two-some, Yvette & Josh in January this year when Yvette was 35 weeks pregnant.

I did their beautiful pregnancy shoot showing off all her gorgeous bumps & curves and capturing the special relationship they have together.

8 weeks later I was blessed to meet and photograph Oscar when he was only 2 weeks old. It was such an honour to see the little journey they went through from being excited parents to-be to a gorgeous family of three!

What I love is the love they have for each other and Oscar which is so evident in these shots.

Melbourne Studio - Photos of the Week

At Katrina Christ in Melbourne we recently had the pleasure of meeting Connie, Tony, Luisa and twins Julia and Joey (who is a budding photographer himself!) and we all had a ball! From the shoot to the viewing through to when they picked up their artwork we were all smiling, they are just such an energetic and vibrant family.

Therefore we thought we would share some of our beautiful images of this beautiful family. We can’t wait to photograph them all again soon!

Katrina Christ is embracing colour!

If you've driven past our Brisbane studio in the last couple of weeks you would have noticed the windows awash with colour photos. Yes, Katrina Christ is embracing colour!

We still love our signature black and white range (as do our clients), but there is now the opportunity to also have colour lifestyle portraits done in your home. Whether it's kids playing in the bubble bath or tickling each other falling off the couch, it's all about capturing your family in your favourite environment - your home! And the good news is you're able to have a combination of both styles at your shoot.

The team at Katrina Christ Melbourne are GREEN!

Green with envy that is. Our very own Nami has headed off on a belated honeymoon with her new hubby Andy to FRANCE!

We have all been helping her practice her French, however the vocabulary is pretty limited, and comme ci comme ca, (like this, like that) is a favourite! We have also had a French jazz album on high rotation in the studio which we can thankfully now retire!

As you can imagine Nami was running around like a crazy woman before she left, we even had a call as she was on her way to the airport. We look forward to hearing the stories (especially concerning the food) and seeing some pics when they return at the beginning of April. Until then we plan on getting our own French fix in the way of pastries and lattes!

International Women's Day

International Womens Day is celebrated on 8 March each year. It is a global celebration of the economic, political and social achievements of women, but also an opportunity for local women to be recognised for their achievements and contributions.

This year Katrina was invited to speak at well-respected accountancy firm Ernst and Young for their IWD celebrations. Katrina was honoured to share her business success story and showcased a presentation of her work. What a great way to spend a Monday morning - amongst some truly inspirational women!

Katrina meets Angry Anderson

Katrina Christ Photographer has been a supporter of ACT for Kids (formerly the Abused Child Trust) for over 6 years, with $25 from each shoot fee donated to this worthwhile cause.

Katrina recently flew to Sydney for ACT for Kids to photograph their newest ambassador, Angry Anderson. Katrina was thrilled to meet the legenday hard-rocker and to photograph him for their February fundraising campaign, Tatts & Tiaras.

"What an inspiring man - really open and a great communicator. This was such a fun morning, shot in our Sydney studio and using our red walls which tied in beautifully with the ACT for Kids theme, with a few coffees in between. We discussed putting one of the ACT tattoos on him but struggled to find a spot ... hee hee!"
